LPG gas cylinders also have an expiry date, this is the right way to check

Liquid petroleum gas is being used not only in the present city but also in rural areas.  At one stage, women used to cook meals on stoves with wood and dung fuel, but now times have changed, so most households cook on gas.  LPG is as dangerous as it is beneficial.  Being highly flammable, if someone shows a little carelessness during its use, you could be the victim of an accident.  You will often read about events that happen with a gas cylinder.  Therefore, you should also be a little careful while using it.  Here we are giving you tips about its proper use.

Always check the expiry date of the cylinder

Whenever a gas cylinder arrives in your home, make sure that you have not received the expiry date cylinder.

Explain that expiration cylinders are also a cause of many accidents in homes. Thus the expiration of the cylinder is always considered by the petroleum companies, but then as a conscious consumer, you should also check. Because in the case of black marketing, some cylinders escape security checks and accidentally arrive at your home. Checking the expiration date of the cylinder is not a very difficult task. So, you just need to keep in mind some of the letters written on the cylinder. You may have seen cylinder A, B, C, D and some numbers written next to it.

This is how to check the expiry date of the cylinder

In these letters A means January to March, B means April to June, C means July to September and D means October to December. The numbers written next to it correspond to the year ending the expiration month. For example, if A-24 is written on the cylinder, it means that the expiration date of the cylinder will be from January to March in the year 2024. If B-20 is written on the cylinder, it means that the cylinder is ending in April-June 2020. Now when buying a future cylinder, be sure to check its expiry date.

Keep these things in mind while working in the kitchen

Wear a cotton apron instead of synthetic in the kitchen when working on gas. Because even a little bit of synthetic carelessly catches fire quickly.

Don’t forget to put something on the running gas. Pay close attention to it. Also open the doors and windows for air circulation.

Do not accidentally use incense sticks, candles or lamps while working in the kitchen.

Do not place kerosene or other stoves around where the gas is placed.

In case of gas leak, remove the regulator, put on safety cap and leave the cylinder open and inform the distributor.

Turn off the gas regulator and also turn off all gas stoves.

Re-apply the safety cap to the cylinder.
