 Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani has taken an important decision to provide foodgrains at concessional rates to 10 lakh more families in the state under the Food Security Act.  It is noteworthy that this decision will benefit as many as 3 million poor and common people.

 About 20 lakh poor and common people will get benefits

 One million families will get all the benefits of NFSA

 Divyang, Ganga Swarupbaheno, old age pension assistance scheme beneficiaries will get benefits

 Rickshaw pullers, chakdo, mini tempo drivers will get benefits

 Earnings per day will benefit motorists who eat daily

 About 20 lakh poor and common people will get benefits


 All Divyang, Ganga Swarupa sisters, beneficiaries of Vadh Pension Assistance Scheme in the state will also be given the benefit of this food distribution, as well as BPL families who are not covered under NFSA will now also get benefits under the Food Security Act.

 It may be noted that the Chief Minister has decided to cover the distribution of foodgrains at concessional rates to the rickshaw pullers, chakdo, mini tempo drivers living in the cities and villages of Gujarat.

 On the other hand, the construction workers will be given NFSA benefits to the registered construction workers of the Construction Workers Welfare Board and the foodgrains will be distributed at a concessional rate.
