Preparations have been started for this. The Mizoram government will build a new food park at a cost of Rs 75 crore. The food park will employ about 5,000 people across the country. The park will directly benefit 25,000 local farmers.
The project will cost Rs. An additional investment of Rs 250 crore will also be made. Which will help the common people in production. Businesses related to food products will be available in this food park. These will be able to run businesses like mega food storage, food processing and cold storage.
Notably, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs 50 crore to the states for preparing food park projects. The central government has allocated Rs. 1000 crore has been allotted.
